Welcome to the Relay and Run for 21
2nd annual Relay and Run for 21 to be held Sunday, March 24, 2013
Registration opens for 2013's 21K event
Please join us for our 2nd Annual Relay and Run for 21, a 21K (half marathon) and 3-person 21K relay that starts in downtown Clayton and meanders across St. Louis County, passing through University City, Olivette, Creve Coeur and Maryland Heights. The finish line is located at Westport Plaza.
Whether running as an individual or 3-person relay team, the course is somewhat challenging and ever changing along its path.
The relay will be run in three segments: -Segment one is 4.1 miles long and is fairly hilly in the middle. -Segment two is 4.35 miles long and is a little tougher with more gradual, but long hills.
-Segment three is 4.65 miles long and includes the St. Louis version of Heartbreak Hill. The finishing portion is fairly flat and mostly downhill.
Eight Aid Stations will be located along the course. Buses will continually run from the start line, to each of the 2 relay stations, the finish line and then return again to the start area. Spectators are encouraged to also ride the buses. Please give athletes preference when loading.
The Relay and Run for 21 helps to raise money for the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis and the Pujols Family Foundation.
